Perpignan airport nearest airport to Argeles Sur
Mer approximately 30km distance.
Ryan
Air flies directly into Perpignan from Stanstead
and East Midlands Airports.
Flybe
flies from Birmingham and Southampton to Perpignan.
EasyJet
flies into Gerona from Luton, Liverpool. 
Other possible routes are Gerona (Northern Spain)
Ryan Air have introduced as from late October 2003
flights to Gerona from Birmingham, Bournemouth,
Prestwick and on Saturday/ Sunday only from Dublin.
Gerona is located approx 40 minutes drive time
(Motorway) from Argeles Sur Mer approximately 100km.
Car hire does tend to be slightly cheaper in Spain
(please check that your insurance cover allows cross
border travel). Most company’s allow without additional
permission but be advised to mention travel destination
when reserving the car (Spain into France and return
etc.)
Barcelona is approximately 2.5 hour’s drive (Motorway)
190km to Argeles Sur Mer. Most economy airlines
fly to Barcelona. Easy Jet(Liverpool), BMI Baby(East
Midlands) and many more UK based airlines fly into
Barcelona.
Other possible French Airports are Toulouse – 230
km away, Montpellier and Carcassone
Car Travel/Ferry Crossings
P&O
Ferries cross at ˝ hour intervals during the
holiday season taking approximately 1 ˝ - 2 hour
travel time. On arrival at Calais motorways direct
you to the main Auto Routes (Route Du Soleil) Arras-
Reims- Dijon – Lyon- Orange Nimes – Narbonne, Perpignan
– Argeles Sur Mer. 
An alternative route would be Bolougne- Rouen-Chartres-
Clemont Ferrand – Bezier- Perpignan – Argeles Sur
Mer.

destinations that allow you time out from driving.
CHANNEL TUNNEL/EUROSTAR
A quick way of travelling under the channel. Eurostar
is hassle free, well organised and cuts the stress
out of waiting in a queue. The train runs approximately
every ˝ hour. Please be advised book early during
the summer season. Travel time through the tunnel
arrives approximately at Calais within 45 minutes.
The tunnel is well sign posted off the M2 motorway.
The exit off the train leads you straight to a motorway
entrances for the south of France.
A
super way to travel Eurostar have a service that
runs from Waterloo London to Lille and from here
a direct service to Perpignan. There are two trains
that operate during the summer season (June to August)
one during the winter.
